Help Rebuild Historic Downtown Long Beach Church
Tax deductible
On Sunday, December 10 at around 6:00 pm - a fire devastated the sanctuary on 7th and Cedar. It is home to the Second Samoan Congregational UCC Church and other ministries serving downtown Long Beach. The building was built by the Christian Science community in 1924 and has served as a place for worship and service for 100 years. The fire damaged the worship space, the basement, meeting rooms, the dome and much of the contents. It has displaced the faithful to the parking lot; any help with space would be very much appreciated. All funds raised from this platform will be placed in a separate account to cover expenses not covered by insurance. The timeline for repairs as estimated by our Adjuster is about 18 months. We thank you in advance as we ask God to bless your generosity.
