Help to rebuild Holding Forth Christian Centre

In May 2007, Holding Forth The Word Ministry purchased a historic structure in Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes: A purpose-built church which has been in use as a place of worship since 1936. The building, now known as Holding Forth Christian Centre (HFCC), serves as tangible evidence of the progress and achievements of Afro-centric communities in the city providing inspiration to marginalized BAME groups.

In June 2020, while the pandemic still raged, and just as the resident pastor himself was recovering from two-weeks of coma and two-weeks of ICU hospitalisation with covid during which his heart had failed twice, further calamity befell the church as the roof of a section of the church building caved in completely.

Thankfully, 'Mercy Said No', the pastor made it and the church remains grateful for your prayers during those trying times. Now, we seek your support by way of donation towards the amount needed to rebuild this facility. Your financial assistance will help us achieve the restoration of this centre for spiritual growth, personal development, and community fellowship.

The reconstruction of this church hall will help our mission to advance the Christian faith by:

Providing a space for the ministry to continue its many laudable Christian activities and expand its work of assisting marginalized BAME communities.

Creating a place where people can come together to worship God, engage in Bible study, and grow in their faith.

Facilitating various community driven initiatives and events which help in fostering better cross-cultural understanding and promote peace through inclusion.

The Ebenezer Project, as we have chosen to call this task, is estimated to require a total sum of £600,000 to complete. Of this amount, we have raised £350,000 through donations, cash commitments, and confirmed promissory notes and we are hopeful of raising the balance of £250,000. We are looking to raise at least £100,000 through direct help and donations from people like you and at least £150,000 through grant award from a few institutional bodies we have approached.
