Help me rebuild Kenyan villages
Donation protected
In the summer of 2021 I hope to spend one month working hard to improve the living standards for various rural communities in Kenya suffering from high levels of poverty. Opportunities available here for young people are limited or non existent, so one of the tasks I'll be involved with is helping to build kindergartens and new school classrooms. Other work will depend on the needs of each individual community and could vary from building water tanks and drainage systems to reforesting damaged areas, digging elephant watering holes and deworming livestock. This will play a critical role in enhancing and protecting some of the most beautiful wild spaces on the planet and also the wildlife that depends on these areas for survival.
I've been lucky enough to have been born into a relatively privileged lifestyle here in the UK, never having to worry about clean water or lack of food, or a roof over my head. In some parts of Kenya the majority of people live below the poverty line and do not have access to clean water, proper sanitation, healthcare or education. Helping with a project like this one, I feel, is the least I can do to contribute in some way to helping those less fortunate than myself.
The money that I hope to raise will pay for me to get there, but most importantly the majority of it will go directly to the projects mentioned above.
Any support you can give to this project will mean the world to me. Ultimately though, and most importantly, you will be making a difference to these communities that don't currently enjoy the fundamental necessities of life that you and I take for granted.
Thanks for reading all this and in anticipation of your support -
thank you so much!
