Help Rebuild La Sorrentina

As many of you have heard, after 10 months of being open we received the devastating phone call at 3 a.m. Thursday, the 20th of October that our food trailer was damaged by heat and smoke from wood that smoldered and reaked havoc on the inside.

Despite this unfortunate event we still are so grateful for many things that helped soften the blow:

*Thank goodness for Kyle, still an unknown just plain good citizen that witnessed the smoke and dialed 911.
*Thank you to all our friends/customers/family for their warmests wishes and support.
*Thank you to those that have asked how they can help and get things back in working order whether it be cleaning or fixing up pipes.
*Thank you to everyone that is encouraging us not to give up and get La Sorrentina back in tip top shape.

We were created by a community of supporters, and to see that community triple in size in the past 10 months is truly the greatest gift of opening up your own business.

With that said, we will need to ask for support in one other way. It has been brought to our attention that in order to be back in working order, we need our food trailer cleaned inside and out from the smoke and soot it has left behind. In order for the health department and us to feel at ease knowing we can still provide only the best and the most delicious pizzas, the cleaning must be done professionally & by a certified restoration company.

We are still going through a few more companies to get bids, however, so far they have all ranged in the $5,000-$6,000 range. Even though we only have a 20 by 8 foot trailer, there are so many unthinkable places and spaces that smoke and soot could get into and it all must be cleaned out from top to bottom. Once, our trailer receives this professional and certified cleaning, we can then take our food trailer to Quality Trailers in Portland and get the rest of the repairs done: a new water tank, front window, front counter, pipes and ceiling cover.

The money being raised is for the professional cleaning only, but also the key and the first step to getting us back in working order and serving up the best Napoletan pies in Washington State.

Our 1st year anniversary of opening will be December 12th, and we would love to have a grand anniversary party with all of you that day/or week, and celebrate with our La Sorrentina community.

However you see fit in helping to support La Sorrentina's first step in getting back into the pizza business will be grately appreciated...even if you can spread the word or share the link or tell anyone you know about us, we will be so appreciative.

We wish we could just be asking for you to come out and buy our pizzas or try out a new dessert, but for now, we will ask again for only your best wishes and prayers being sent our way so Pizzaiolo Dice-K can return to doing his thing.

Thank you so much for reading this, sharing this, and just sending us your love. It truly means so much to us.

In our hearts and minds, La Sorrentina is unstoppable and only just beginning, so again, we thank all of you so much.

Sincerely,
