URGENT: Help Rebuild Lives in Pemba, MZ After Cyclone Chido
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
We had the privilege of living in a small village called Murrebue near Pemba, Mozambique. We experienced firsthand the generosity of its people. This community became our home, and its people became our family. Their warmth, kindness, and resilience taught us so much about life. Now, they are facing unimaginable hardship, and we feel called to help.
On December 15, 2024, Cyclone Chido ripped through Pemba and surrounding areas, leaving devastation in its wake. Homes were destroyed, families were displaced, and lives were lost. Many are now living in the open, exposed to harsh weather, unsafe water, and the looming threat of diseases like cholera.
Our Goal:
We are raising $65,000 to support these families in their time of need. Here’s how we will help:
1. Provide Emergency Shelter: Distribute tents to at least 500 families who have lost their homes.
2. Promote Health & Hygiene: Educate the community about the dangers of cholera and other diseases caused by contaminated water.
3. Supply Essential Items: Provide hygiene kits, mosquito nets, and water purification tablets to reduce the risk of illness.
How You Can Help:
• Donate: No amount is too small. Every contribution will go directly to providing shelter and supplies to those in need.
• Spread the Word: Share this campaign with your network and help us reach more people who can make a difference.
Thank you for joining us in helping these wonderful families rebuild their lives. All funds raised will go directly to the hands of families affected by the catastrophe.
With gratitude,
The Murrebue community
