Help Rebuild Mayreau After Hurricane Beryl
Donation protected
Hello everyone
My name is Esther Alexander Grant, and I was born in the Caribbean on a small island called Mayreau. On July 1st, 2024, our beloved home was ravaged by the catastrophic impact of hurricane Beryl. The devastation wrought by this natural disaster has left our community reeling, without homes, schools, community centers, and businesses decimated. Many of our fellow islanders are now without shelter, grappling with profound emotional and material losses.
I am leading an urgent fundraising effort to provide essential support for the residents of Mayreau during this dire time. The funds raised will be crucial in procuring much-needed food supplies, building materials for reconstruction, essential medications, and electrical equipment. These resources are not only vital for rebuilding homes and infrastructure but also for restoring basic services like electricity, which will enable our people to reconnect with loved ones scattered across the diaspora.
Together, we can help our resilient community recover, rebuild, and emerge stronger from this devastating ordeal.
Currently, the community is left without water, electricity and telecommunications and many families have only the clothes on their backs.
Supplies will be delivered to each household weekly until stock runs out, in the form of care packages. Each package will contain battery packs, solar lights, nonperishable food items, water, clothing, pampers and wipes and over the counter medications.
Your generosity can make a significant impact. Thank you for your support, and may God continue to bless you and your families.
