Help Rebuild Mercer St Dance Hall
Donation protected

We opened Mercer Street Dance Hall on February 1, 2013 when our 15-year-old daughter Shelby said she wished there was a place to dance in Dripping Springs. In 90 short days, we made that wish come true.
The Dancehall has become an institution in this town for the past 6 years, bringing in the talents of Asleep at the Wheel, Jimmy Vaughn, and Kevin Fowler, as well as hosting the annual Veterans Day Celebration, Cancer Awareness Kickoff, Helping Hands Empty Bowl Project, and The Music on Mercer Flood Relief Concert benefiting our neighbors in Wimberley in 2015.
All during this time, we have stood and fought against the potential exorbitant rent increases that each new landlord (we are on our third) have felt compelled to thrust upon us. Unfortunately, we have lost that battle as we have been given 30 days to vacate the building.
But we haven’t given up the fight.
With the graciously donated talents of architect Kevin Herron, we have the designs and blue prints to build a better dance hall on our own property just a couple miles south of town. On July 1, 2018, we will open Little Mercer, our new dirt bar and taco trailer, which will allow us to keep operating as a bar, while keeping the spirit of the dance hall alive. Visit Little Mercer for some cold beer, tasty tacos, and music under all the great oaks and stars. The opening of Little Mercer will allow us to build a new and improved dance hall on our very own land. With the taco truck, the new dance hall, and a set of vacation rental cabins, we're creating a little slice of heaven right here in Dripping Springs.
We appreciate any and all help one can afford to donate to the construction of the new hall as we can’t do it without y’alls help.
Thank you and God bless.
