Help Rebuild Our Cherished Family and Landmark Home

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers

We are reaching out today with heavy hearts and a plea for help. Our beloved family home in East Tennessee, a historic property that has stood for generations, was tragically destroyed by a sudden and unexpected flash flood. In a matter of hours, years of memories, hard work, and history were swept away by the powerful waters, leaving us heartbroken and overwhelmed.

Our home isn’t just a house—it’s a piece of East Tennessee history. Built nearly two centuries ago, it has been passed down through generations of our family, serving as a place of warmth, love, and gathering. It holds irreplaceable memories of holidays, family reunions, and countless milestones. It is where we shared laughter and joy with loved ones, and where the community often came together.

Here are some videos of the farm and some of the ways the farm has touched the lives of so many folks in the area over the years:

While Still Hollow Farm is no longer being used as a public wedding venue or for eco-tourism, the videos are a great way to see the property before the flood and a reminder of how many people have a connection with it.

The flood hit with little warning. Within hours, the rising waters engulfed our home, damaging the foundation, walls, and everything inside. We were fortunate to escape to higher ground, but the home is uninhabitable, and the cost of repairs is far beyond what we can manage on our own. Sadly, because the flood was sudden and unexpected, we did not have sufficient insurance to cover the damage.

The cost to restore the house is overwhelming. It will take significant resources to rebuild the foundation, replace the damaged infrastructure, and restore the historical elements that made this house so special. While we are determined to rebuild, we simply cannot do it alone.

We are humbly asking for your support. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us take one step closer to bringing our historic home back to life. If you cannot donate, we completely understand, but we ask that you please share our story with your network. Spreading the word is just as valuable, and every bit of kindness helps.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time. We are deeply grateful for any help you can provide, and we look forward to the day when we can once again open the doors of our family’s historic home.
