My name is Tracy Perez and I am an independent multidisciplinary artist residing in the magic city.

17 months ago I was granted the blessing of finding a space within South Florida’s premier film media organization, FilmGate. Those first two months, I hustled and renewed my space entirely. I called upon the best of the best to come and help me cultivate my dream space. We decked out ceilings, renewed the AC units, installed entirely new lighting, cleaned every corner, painted every wall…. We laughed in here, we cried in here, we made plans in here.

Two months in, we were shut down my the city of Miami. The entire Huntington building was under consideration for new development in downtown Miami. They wanted to tear down an historic building and make it look the way everything else in our city is starting to look. They fought big time to tear our historic building down and they had us nervous there for months.

Everything stayed untouched. My worked remained still. It collected dust for 17 months and remained deeply in my mind and heart.

Our people fought. Showed up to town meetings. Sent letters. Signed petitions.

COMMUNITY.

Now our space is back and running.

I trusted the timing. I didn’t understand the reasoning or the tease at the time.

I continued to pray. To meditate about my space and my intentions for it. Months passed and hope remained, even if it seemed impossible or so out of reach.

I now share with you the beautiful part…

I have been granted access to my studio once again. I am now different than I was then. I am now more ready than I have ever felt. I am excited to receive this blessing and more than all, share it with my community.

CYBER OX STUDIO

Collective art space kicking off mid-October. I am a multidisciplinary artist with a passion for culture and every art form. I have 6+ years of experience with children education and 9+ years of darkroom work, photography, painting and more. I’m opening up a space to share my knowledge with others. A place where I will host immersive art sessions with purpose for my community. It will be open to all ages. Some classes will be tethered to interactive work with children on weekends and more adult centered classes occurring on week days. Such as collage, photography, mixed media workshops and much more. I’ll also be offering yoga classes and small tea/vinyl records gatherings.

Classes will be hosted for a small fee and will reside in downtown Miami.

I humbly ask family and friends for a kind donation towards my space and endeavors. My heart is bursting with excitement and gratitude.
