Hello Everyone,
My name is Dima Al-Mashharawi From Gaza and I am 15 years old. I am reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea for help. My family and I have endured unimaginable hardships, and we urgently need your support to overcome the challenges we face.
Our family consists of eight members: my mother, father, my brother Hamza (who is running this donation campaign), my sister Sahar (15), Ronos (12), Misk (10), Sham (7), and Zain (3). Additionally, we have my sister and her husband with their child, Mervat, who have also been affected by our situation.
Our Story
For years, we have been living in Gaza, a region that has been heavily impacted by conflict. Our lives have been turned upside down by the ongoing war, which has forced us to leave our home and relocate five times. Each displacement brings with it a new set of challenges and expenses that we struggle to meet.
Growing up in Gaza, we have experienced firsthand the harsh realities of living in a conflict zone. Our home, once filled with laughter and warmth, has been reduced to rubble. The memories of our happy times now lie buried under the ruins of our house. Despite the adversity, my family has always remained resilient, holding onto hope and each other.
The Struggles We Face
1. Displacement Expenses: Each time we are forced to move, we incur significant costs. These include transportation, temporary housing, food, and other essential needs. Our resources are stretched thin, and we desperately need financial assistance to cover these expenses.
Each relocation is a traumatic experience. We have to leave behind the little we have managed to salvage, often starting from scratch in an unfamiliar and uncertain environment. The constant movement takes a toll on our physical and mental health, especially for my younger siblings, who struggle to understand why their world keeps changing.
2. Rebuilding Our Home: Once the war ends, our dream is to return to Gaza and rebuild our destroyed home. This is a monumental task that requires substantial funding for construction materials, labor, and basic utilities.
Our home was not just a building; it was a symbol of our dreams and aspirations. Rebuilding it means restoring our sense of security and stability. It is the first step towards healing and reclaiming our lives from the devastation of war.
Why We Need Your Help
My brother Hamza, who is 24 years old, has a temporary residence permit in Belgium and is doing everything he can to support us. However, his resources are limited, and he cannot do it alone. Hamza moved to Belgium in search of a safer life and to provide for our family, but the burden is
overwhelming. We are reaching out to compassionate individuals like you to help us navigate this challenging period and rebuild our lives.
