Hello,

My name is Colleen Breen, and I am the founder and owner of All Out Comedy Theater; an event hub in Oakland, California. Our mission is to empower individuals to build confidence, empathy, and joy through learning and watching improv and a wide variety of performing arts.

 

We seek to reflect the community in which we live by promoting inclusivity and diversity. My passion is providing improv classes to all that seek it, and my heart bursts when people share how the craft of improvisation has changed the way they understand and interact with others.

 

While our doors were open, we offered unlimited scholarships to any individual from unrepresented communities. We provided a space for artists of all kinds to share their talents. It was a beacon for all to flourish through the arts, and it is our goal to share that once again.

 

We are asking for your help to rebuild the theater after Covid-19. While we closed in 2020, we remained active online with shows and have resumed our popular in-person classes for the past few months by renting 3rd party spaces.

 

There’s even better news. We’ve secured an incredible new theater with seating for up to 100 audience members and 3 classrooms (plus a bar for drink service during shows!).

But we’re not there yet. The landlord has given us 9 months to come up with the $400,000 to build out the empty space. With your donations we can rebuild again and provide a space for our community to grow and thrive again through theater and the performing arts.
