Help Rebuild Parottee Village After Hurricane Bery
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and fellow citizens of this globe,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help. Hurricane Beryl has wreaked unprecedented havoc across the island of Jamaica, with my beloved parish of St. Elizabeth bearing the brunt of the storm. Our once vibrant village of Parottee, where I was born and raised, now lies in ruins.
The devastation is unimaginable. My birth mother’s home, a place filled with cherished memories, has been completely destroyed. Many of my friends and family members have lost everything—their homes, their businesses, their livelihoods. Roofs have been blown off, leaving families exposed to the elements, and entire structures have been flattened.
The resilience of our community is strong, but we cannot rebuild alone. We urgently need your support to help us restore what has been lost. Your generous contributions will go directly towards:
-Rebuilding Homes: Providing materials and labor to reconstruct the homes that have been destroyed.
- Supporting Local Businesses: Assisting small business owners in getting back on their feet, ensuring that our local economy can recover.
- Repairing Roofs: Replacing and repairing roofs to provide immediate shelter and safety for affected families.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Your support will not only help to rebuild structures but also to restore hope and a sense of normalcy to those who have lost so much. Together, we can bring Parottee back to life and help our community heal.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
Natasha Bennett
