Help Rebuild Premier Dairy

Eric Svenson and Mandy Parker’s world changed on the night of January 11, when a fire destroyed the heartbeat of Premier Dairy Farms in Ringwood, IL. The barn where Eric and Zach worked for over 20 years is now gone.

 

We are humbly asking you to help Eric and Mandy rebuild from the ground up. The barn, a total loss, was more than a place to milk cows. It housed the hopes and dreams of the farmers who worked there.

 

Miraculously, every animal and human survived, even two heifers trapped in the wreckage overnight. When Eric and Mandy uncovered the last two missing girls the morning after, they found another miracle: a healthy calf born in the ashes. They named her Fire Truck to honor the firefighters from some 20 departments who protected the rest of the farm.

 

That night, first responders and fellow farmers dropped everything and rushed to help. Working overnight, volunteers moved 170 cows to neighboring farms for shelter and care. But when the cows left, the milk check stopped. The barn is gone, but there are still cows to feed and farmworkers to pay.

 

Eric and Mandy now have no income. Their top priority is to bring their girls home so they can keep feeding the world. Milk from Premier Dairy typically fills school lunch milk cartons. Their milk checks fund the paychecks for the team of workers who, like all of us, rely on their jobs.

 

Farmers give their time, talent, and energy to care for other living beings. It’s time for us to care for them. We are Eric and Mandy’s family, friends, and fellow farmers, and we are asking you to give generously. And no matter the amount, please thank a farmer today. Thank you.
