Help Rebuild St.Elizabeth, Jamaica
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Gabrielle and I’m currently seeking help for my hometown in Jamaica which was tremendously hit and wrecked by hurricane Beryl. A numerous amount of members in my community are left without shelter as part of or their entire homes have been shattered, businesses destroyed, roofs torn apart, and essential services like electricity and communication have been cut off. ** Please watch this video as it gives a more in depth explanation on the current situation at hand ** https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9EBQtcKJY7/?igsh=Y3ZiNjZkcG91emxo
St. Elizabeth is a small part of Jamaica located on the south coast however, it is most popularly known for being the “breadbasket” of the island meaning, most of the food grown, harvested and produced is for about 70% of the island. Crops and livestock have been decimated, leaving essential supplies scarce. I am reaching out to ask for your support in this time of need. Your generous donations will go directly to the rebuilding efforts on the ground. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a significant difference.
Here's how you can contribute: Click the "Donate Now" button and give what you can to support the cause or click the “Share” button to help spread the word about this campaign by sharing this page with your friends, family, and social media.
The monetary proceeds will go towards:
1. Purchasing materials needed to help rebuild.
2. Hand picked families and individuals in need of monetary assistance in order to ease some of the financial burdens faced during this period.
My aim is to close off this fundraiser on July 22, 2024. I will be visiting the island shortly after as I had made prior plans to do so before the hurricane hit, therefore I will be able to post updates on how your donations contribute to the community. It would really mean a lot if we could make this goal happen.
**Please consider this link I have attached to a YouTube video for those who may not have social media, which also shows how extensive the damage really is** https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=PRQi-ynex-9dX_xl&v=aerUe5N-aqo&feature=youtu.be
With your help, our community can rebuild stronger and more united than ever. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
With heartfelt gratitude.
