Help Rebuild the Beloved Original Cajun Claws
Donation protected
Hello everyone!! My name is CJ Frederick, A long time friend and employee of the infamous Original Cajun Claws of Abbeville. On 7/7/24 Cajun Claws was struck by a car in the midst of a high speed chase. The damages sustained are beyond their means. Through many years, I've seen both Jodi and Donnie Choate as well as their three sons; Kyle, Tyler and Tanner step up in many ways to help where they could; Never looking for anything in return. They would never ask for help but it will take a village to assist them in rebuilding what was demolished. Please see Jodi's take on this tragic event. Such a strong woman that has been carrying a heavy load for quite some time. If you can find it in your heart to help lift them, then my job has been done to assist them in the best way I know how. Anything helps! Thank you all in advance. Much love!
"In life it is always how we react .. I must say I am so dam proud of the work I’ve been doing on myself .. just a year ago this would have broke me .. but today I breathe through it .. I get my boys on the phone and have them ground me .. then I’m grateful for my vintage bar glasses that didn’t get broken ..
Our beloved Cajun Claws in Abbeville at this moment .. it seems a high speed chase ended in our restaurant but it could have been so much worse if we had patrons in our bar.. we were scheduled to be open next week so I guess upon further word from the hubs I will know more .. I beg all of you to be kind .. we really never know what one is going through .. this too shall pass .. until then I will keep reminding myself to breathe .. each son caught me where they saw I needed it and for that I am grateful .. a shout out to our Abbeville Police Department for being on the scene before I got word of it .. to Robin Nolan you already know how much I love and appreciate you .. to my SIL Marilyn for getting there faster than we could .. to my soon to be 99 year old aunt ( Margs ) for providing a car for Donni to get there .. thanks to Francis Plaisance for being there for us .. thanks to my son Kyle for going to help his dad .. thanks to my Tyler Choate for the quick therapy .. we did laugh a bit and that’s ok too .. we either play the cards we’ve been dealt or we fold .. Not yet ready to leave the table of cards ❤️
Upon further assessment of the individual that caused this damage we realize that we will need help to rebuild what this convict destroyed by running away from the cops .. he had warrants out for his arrest on murder charges in New Iberia .. he stole from the Walmart in Abbeville which led the cops to follow him .. when they turned their lights on he tried to get away .. we have been told he hit the building at 90-100 mph .. we are not in a position to do this on our own .. we are in the process of starting a go fund me page … this is something both Donni and I are not used to doing, but this go round we have no other options .. please share if you can .. once I know more about the page for donations I will post it .. we thank all of you for your support and well wishes ❤️❤️ "
