Help Re-build the Black Liberation Movement!

Donation protected
We originally launched this GoFundMe campaign a few months ago to raise $30,000. However, we have just been notified that we will receive a matching gift of $10,000 once we hit the $10,000 mark.

Please help us.

We launched April 4, 2017, to build on the anti-war and anti-imperialist tradition of the Black Liberation Movement and equip us to fight the domestic repression. We have been doing this with no foundation grants and no staff—nothing but a commitment to resist, knowing the U.S. state is going to employ more violence in response to the deepening crisis of legitimacy.

We believe in peace, but we understand there can be no peace without justice. We are clear that to obtain justice, we must fight to shift power away from those forces that impose war and suffering on the people of the United States and the world.

We have established city-wide alliances in various parts of the country for our members to engage locally. In 2018, we launched a two-pronged educational campaign to oppose police militarization as well as to demand the U.S. military be defunded. The umbrella campaign  is called “No Compromise, No Retreat: Defeat the War Against African/Black People in the U.S. and Abroad.” Our US Out of Africa Network  supports one part of that campaign.

Many people have flocked to BAP because of our consistent analysis and principled leadership. But, as Guinea-Bissau revolutionary leader Amilcar Cabral said, we tell no lies and claim no easy victories—we are an evolving formation. All of our work is voluntary, with a couple of underpaid workers engaged in our liberation struggle.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 and we are extending this effort until October. The fundraised resources will be used to 1) free up two people part-time to help with membership development and support, 2) upgrade our website, and 3) prepare for our first public gathering in 2021.

Help us reach our goal, so we can wage the struggle for collective human rights!
