about Who I am,

My name is Dionne Phillips, and I am the Founder and CEO of D’Lashes Lash & Wellness Spa in Beverly Hills. I’ve spent over two decades in the beauty industry, helping people feel empowered through self-care. But beyond my work, I’m also a recent breast cancer survivor who is still in the process of healing and moving forward from one of the most challenging seasons of my life.

I’m reaching out because my dear friend, Deisy Surez-Giles, her husband, and their two young boys recently lost their home in the devastating LA wildfires. They escaped with only a single bag, leaving behind not just their belongings but years of hard work and precious memories.

Our Story:

I met Deisy during a difficult time in my own life. My spa was under construction, and due to LA city permits and inspection delays, the process dragged on for over a year. On top of that, I was battling breast cancer. Through a mutual connection—our business architect—Deisy kindly offered me a room at one of her spa locations to rent so I could continue working while managing my treatments. Though I didn’t end up using the space, her generosity and kind heart left a lasting impression. We’ve stayed close friends and continue to support each other as entrepreneurs.

Now, Deisy is facing an unimaginable loss, and I feel it’s my turn to step up and support her and her family.

How the Funds Will Be Used:

Your donation will directly help Deisy and her family move forward from this loss and begin rebuilding their lives. Funds will be used for:

   • Temporary housing and basic living expenses as they work to get back on their feet Replacing essential items such as clothing, toiletries, and household necessities

   • Support for their two young boys to return to school with supplies and stability

   •   Emergency needs and unforeseen expenses during this difficult time
