Help Support Prenger Family After Hurricane Helene Mudslide

We are devastated to hear about Steve and Debbie’s home in Burnsville, NC being destroyed. We are putting together a GoFundMe on the behalf of their daughters, Jessie and Alayne. Friends & Family,

Our parents’ home, a place they poured years of love, hard work, and dedication into, was tragically destroyed by a devastating mudslide caused by Hurricane Helene. In a matter of moments, the life they built over decades was swept away. Thankfully, they were in Atlanta with family when the disaster struck, but now all they have left are the few belongings they brought on their trip.

Our parents spent countless hours over many years building not just a house, but a home—crafting every detail, creating a garden, and becoming deeply rooted in their community. It was the product of their blood, sweat, and tears. Now, all of that is gone, leaving them with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up. The damage is catastrophic, and the road to recovery is long and uncertain.
