Help Rebuild VFW Post 6802's Kitchen
Donation protected
James Coleman VFW Post 6802 has been a proud cornerstone of the Richmond Community for 76 years, providing crucial support to veterans, local families in need, and students through scholarships. For decades, their Fish Fry fundraisers have been the lifeblood of their mission, allowing them to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country and to help those in need within our community.
However, after plans to expand their kitchen in the fall of 2022, they have been left in a dire situation. The builder they trusted took advantage of the Post, leaving them with an unfinished kitchen and a substantial financial burden. As a result, they can no longer continue their beloved Fish Fry fundraisers, which have been a vital source of funding for their community outreach and charitable efforts.
This unfortunate situation has put their ability to provide:
• Holiday food baskets to local families in need
• Scholarships for deserving local students
• Donations to the Veterans National Home and the VFW Children’s Camp Trotter
• Gifts for children at Christmas
• Essential services for veterans
• Honor Guard services
• Support for local families facing hardship
…in jeopardy.
I am reaching out to you, our community, to help them rebuild. Your generous donation will go directly toward:
• Completing the kitchen renovation
• Covering any remaining costs from the unfinished work
• Ensuring they can continue their vital Fish Fry fundraisers and community efforts
With your support, they can once again serve those who have served us and continue making a difference in the lives of veterans, families, and students. Please consider donating today to help VFW Post 6802 get back on its feet and continue its long legacy of service.
Thank you for your support and for standing with our veterans and community. Together, we can rebuild and they can continue their mission.
