Help Rebuild Wild Records
Donation protected
Our names are Marlene and Andrew along with everyone from our little family are starting this GoFundMe for the founder of Wild Records Reb Kennedy & Family lost home in Eaton Fire
Since the year 2000 Reb Kennedy has touched the lives of thousands of people in Southern California and around the world through his record label Wild Records. He has been directly responsible for the recording and promotion of music that took many young people on travels and adventures around the world. Just two days ago Reb and his family lost their home in the Eaton Fire as well as Wild Records headquarters, thousands of pieces of irreplaceable personal items and a recording studio Reb had been working on for over 20 years.
Reb is not someone who has ever shown desperation personally or financially and we know that he would be okay if nobody came to his aid today. However, due to the nature of insurance we all know Reb’s lifetime work will not be replaced nearly accurately or completely. There is no price you can put on hundreds of master tapes on ¼ tape recorded live in studio. There is no price you can put on 5000 vinyl records collected over a lifetime many of which are nearly one of a kind at this point in history. There is no price you can accurately put on the instruments, stand-up basses, piano, vintage cars, vintage clothes, art and the several metric tons of beautiful memories that happened at 155 W. Mendocino in Altadena, CA.
We know that money cannot replace all this, but it will help Reb to start again knowing that insurance will fail to accurately value a lifetime of work, passion and music.
Since day 1, Reb has been like a father to me, Jenny and Hayden have been like my family as well as everyone else in the label. If Reb & Family have touched you in any way please consider a small donation. Many people coming together in a time of strife can be a powerful force.
Thank you all❤️
