Help Rebuild Yoga Center Santa Cruz
Donation protected
Yoga Center Santa Cruz began in a tiny space in downtown Santa Cruz, CA over 30 years ago by three young female teachers eager to bring the amazing benefits of Iyengar yoga to their friends and community. Within 8 years, its popularity outgrew the small studio, and a new, large, and beautiful space with two studios was opened on Front St. There we thrived and increased our membership for over 23 years, even surviving COVID, until our building was demolished for a large redevelopment project. Once we were able to teach in person again, we began offering a few classes both online and in person at the local Veterans Hall, while continuously searching for a viable space we could once again call our home.
Finally, a building has been found that is suitable for our needs. Although this studio will be temporary, we believe it will give us a stable location to rebuild our incredible yoga community. We are super excited!! We have a number of excellent teachers ready to offer their knowledge and expertise, sufficient space for larger classes, and ample parking. There are a few improvements needed to make the place ready for our use and enjoyment, and we need your help to achieve them. We need to install a toilet, paint the walls, finish a small section of flooring, and get new props. If you would love to see Yoga Center Santa Cruz reborn once more, if you look forward to trying your next handstand or downward dog in a new studio, if you believe in the power of yoga to enrich your life and benefit your community, please consider making a donation of whatever amount. No donation is too small, and every cent will go towards making this studio a wonderful new home for Yoga Center Santa Cruz.
Namaste!
