Help recently arriving Afghan interpreters
I'm reaching out to share a GoFundMe campaign aimed at supporting Afghan interpreters who have recently arrived in the United States that I have worked with.
One of these interpreters that I worked with on my last deployment, Sam, bravely spent over two and a half years in hiding due to the chaotic circumstances following the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. After enduring immense challenges, he and his family, consisting of 7 children (ages 5-18) and his wife, finally made it to the U.S. They, like the others, come with little more than the clothes on their backs and face significant barriers, including language and cultural adjustments.
These interpreters have earned their citizenship the hard way, trust me. Your donations will not only help Sam secure essential items like a phone and transportation costs to aid his job search but also provide necessary resources for other newcomers in similar situations.
Let's come together to show our support and ensure these courageous individuals can thrive in their new home. Thank you for considering a donation; every little bit helps. Please feel free to make a smaller donation than what is recommended.
