Help recover from the devastation of diabetes
Donation protected
Pierre decided to open his dream shoe repair early in 2021. Finally opened in April and had an amazing response, it felt great! Shortly after he opened he started feeling abnormally tired and stressed. He couldn't keep up with the work because he didn't have any energy. He couldn't find any help, though advertising numerous times. His first stint in the hospital was in June followed by several more. By late October he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and wound up in the ICU for 8 days. This is when he finally received his diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. When it reared its ugly head the timing couldn't have been worse. Because of his diabetes, he failed to keep up with the shop. It has been devastating to him, his wife, their finances, and their dream of being part of the community. This unexpected disease has caused deep debt and many disappointed people...he felt he let his community down. He and Emily are struggling to recover financially, being concerned about losing their home, while trying to learn to live with diabetes. Please help if you can. These two young people would like to move forward.
