Help Redlands Troop 4 Finish Their New Scout Room
Donation protected
Hello, my name Jeremy Rager. I am the Charter Representative and an active parent in the 100-year-old Redlands CA Boy Scouts Troop 4.
We have had the honor of helping Redlands and the surrounding communities since 1923. But just this last year due to administrative reasons at the national levels Troop 4 had to leave its Chartered Organization of 99 years and has moved into our new forever home at the First Presbyterian Church of Redlands.
The Church has given us a basement classroom, storage area, and even a small sink and cabinet area to use as long as we would like ( I say another 100 years!). These rooms suffered a flood many years ago and were left stripped and disused for more than 25 years. The church does not have the money to remodel it for us and Troop 4, along with Pack 24, does not either. But we are willing to put in the hard work to make it beautiful again.
We are asking for donations to help us re-drywall, replace lighting, put in new flooring, cabinets and shelving, and put in a 2-zone mini-split HVAC system for the hot summer months and the cool winters plus all the other things that pop up in a remodel of this nature. We as scouts and parent volunteers are hoping to do much of the labor, but materials and some jobs will bring hefty price tags and be just outside of our skill sets.
All funds will go directly to the room's reconstruction and any money left over will go to decorating the space, providing organization for all the scout's and pack's gear, and as always, it would help us do what we do best... GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY!
Also, I have included some concept drawings of what the room will hopefully look like when we finish it.
