Help Rehana Shaik in her Fight for Bone Marrow Cancer

Dear friends, family and kind-hearted strangers,

With a heavy heart, I am reaching out to ask for your support for my dear friend Rehana Shaik who has been doing her masters in Germany. Since 2023, she is being completely under doctors surveillance in hospital in Halle, Germany. She is the elder and responsible, supportive child for their family, single student abroard and a wonderful friend who has always been there for others. Now, she and her family need us more than ever.

Rehana has been courageously battling bone marrow cancer, which is now aggressively affecting her bones and other body parts too. Although she had undergone Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy followed by Stem cell transplantation, unfortunately the relapse (re appearce) of cancer was devastating after 11 months of monitoring. Since December 2024 the same treatment (chemotherapy, radiotherapy and transplantation) is being repeated once again with the hope for better results. The doctors are constantly monitoring her very carefully (fingers crossed) as this is the last and only precious possibility for her to recover and survive. She cannot call off her treatment and go back to India at this moment. Her body is tired, but her love for her parents and family remains still very strong.

As most of her medical expenses are covered by health insurance here in germany still she has burden of other bills that surround everyday.

As you can imagine, this heartbreaking journey has not only taken an emotional toll but also created an overwhelming financial burden back in India. Her family is facing lot more struggles missing her daily and she has been missing them even more. So we are raising this fund to bring her family to germany and help with any uncertain expenses. Her family is trying to stay strong for her while preparing for what no family should have to endure.
