Help Rehouse Family After Gun Violence Tragedy
Donation protected
Hello family, friends, and newcomers. This weekend in Charlotte, NC, my two-year-old niece was shot during a drive-by at Evoke Living in Westerly Hills. For the past couple of months, there has been ongoing gun violence due to some tenants living in the same building, which has resulted in the apartment being shot up multiple times. Though her aunt, whom she lived with, along with her partner and four additional children, begged and pleaded for resolution through contacting the leasing office and corporate, her cries fell on deaf ears. Now, tragically, our niece has been hospitalized, and the violence continues. On the night in question, her aunt held her in her arms, running her to police officers to save her life. Now, to maintain her life and the life of her family, she needs to vacate the premises, and despite her request to receive her rental payments back from the months the apartment complex failed to assist her, they refused. They have nowhere to go and no funds to move, and again on 9/17/24 at 4 AM, another drive-by occurred. I am here today asking for donations to rehouse my family to save their lives and to assist with anything my niece may need moving forward. Anything, no matter how big or small, will assist greatly. Any additional proceeds would go to my nieces medical expenses/ future necessities. Gun violence in this country is out of control and not only traumatizes the victim but the victim's family. Please, again, anything will help. With blessings, I thank you.
