Help Reliance stand more candidates at the next GE

Donation protected
Reliance is a movement of regular people who've had enough of the two-party status quo in British politics. We are determined to fix this broken situation that serves the priorities of parties over the priorities of real people.

From the epicentre of our political movement, in Birmingham, Reliance's aim is to stand as many independent candidates as we can in the coming UK General Election in 2024.

Our key policy commitments that we're standing on for election include:

  • Development of ethical foreign policy
  • Enhancement of workers’ rights
  • Improvement of health and social care delivery
  • Raising education standards
  • Ensuring better access to housing
  • Enabling true community cohesion
  • Putting peoples’ priorities first, and not the interests of parties

Simply, commitments that actually serve real people and not the political gamesmanship of political parties.

For more detail about our policies and how Reliance will serve the interests of people, please visit our Policies page on our website.

Constituencies up and down the country are unique and distinct. And in this respect, the one-size-fits-all approach that imposes rigid national policies on every community in the land really doesn't serve the needs of people in their own neighbourhoods.

Crucial to how we will break the dominant parties top-down dictatorial model, so political representation is more responsive and bespoke to the needs of individual constituencies, is through genuinely local candidates.

Every Reliance candidate will have the knowledge, experience and connection to the constituency and community they serve. They will understand the pressures, problems and opportunities that present in these areas, and know how to deliver on them.

To enable Reliance to achieve this we have to start building the systems and infrastructure to fight a strong and competitive General Election campaign now!

Your kind support will help us:

  • Train a strong and able cohort of prospective parliamentary candidates
  • Develop campaign resources that will be deployed at both a local and national level
  • Recruit an army of volunteers who will carry the campaign from now until polling day
  • Purchase the assets and machinery needed to amply the Reliance message far and wide
  • Meet the administrative requirements, which all UK political parties must adhere to

For further information about Reliance, please contact our organisation through its website.

Additional information behind my fundraiser:

1. My name and relationship to this fundraiser
I (Kamel Hawwash) am raising funds for an organisation (Reliance Party Ltd - Company number 15336314) that is supporting the general election campaigns of a number of independent candidates under the Reliance banner. I am one such candidate, the figurehead and the Person of Significant control of Reliance Party Ltd.

2. How the donations will be spent
Donations will be distributed (in equal measure) to the mentioned independent candidates during the General Election campaign in 2024 (in accordance with guidance from the Electoral Commission). In this way, funds will be used to

  • Design and write campaign resources that will be deployed during campaign time
  • Purchase promotional campaign assets (print and advertising) needed to support the political campaigns of independents
  • Meet the administrative requirements of the electoral commission for each candidate standing.

3. How we plan to get the donations from this fundraiser to the intended recipient (Reliance)
Donations from this fundraiser will be transferred to the bank account of Reliance Party Ltd. From there, the procurement of all resources itemised above will then be handled centrally by Reliance Party Ltd. This will enable us to buy resources in bulk and more affordably for all candidates.

4. Other information to help people better understand our fundraiser's purpose
Given the nature of this fundraiser, we ask only UK citizens make donations.
