Help relocate & reopen Daley's Gym
Donation protected
Daley's Gym has been a part of the community of Southwest Louisiana for over 100 years, through the generations of the Daley men. Since the passing of Phil "Tex" Daley in 2017 the gym's doors have been closed and the building owner has put the old location up for sale. Scott Daley has been looking for a new location for the gym, the costs of relocation are overwhelming so it has been a slow process. The amount of calls coming in daily from the local youth, their parents and the individuals that have trained at Daley's in the past have encouraged Scott to continue the work of his father. These calls have prompted to me to come forward and ask the community to help if they can on his behalf. I feel the gym needs to be opened ASAP due some of the young teens that used to attend loosing their path.
Scott "Blonde Bomber" Daley has decided to carry on the family tradition and continue serving the community, giving the youth in the community a place to learn discipline while mentoring them into young adults, giving them the opportunity to get into amateur boxing and maybe one day a professional boxing career. Daley's Gym has over the years, taken the time to coach the youth of the area and bring them to different amateur boxing matches throughout the state, giving them something to be proud of accomplishing.
I'm asking for your help to keep the gym a part of the community for years to come! He has renamed it to 'Daley's Boxing Studio' and now has a Facebook page. Follow him on Facebook for progress of this future endeavor. I'm asking for donations to help speed up the progress. If you can help great, if you can't monetarily, please share this post and help in your own way! We will recognize larger donations by putting their names on a plaque that will hang on the wall at the new location. If you are a business that wants to be a major sponsor we have different options -- the business name in the middle of the ring and a designated parking place. Please contact us if you are interested in the larger sponsorship on our Facebook page are call the gym number [phone redacted] directly. We greatly appreciate any and all help.
