Help Relocate Comics Conspiracy

After 24 years at our original location, Comics Conspiracy WILL BE MOVING to 913 W. El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA as of August 1st, 2017. The new location is less than 2 miles from our previous location in a much nicer, newer complex.

For many, this won't come as a big shock as we've been looking for a new location for many years now. When the store first opened at our current location back in 1993, it was well-kept and very busy for a quieter, neighborhood strip mall. Since it was sold about 10 years ago, the complex has been in a steady state of decline with many businesses closing and the threat of it being torn down seemingly popping up every few years. The most recent thing we've been told is that, yes, the complex is on the market and will be sold soon. Many businesses have already left, and although we've not heard anything official, we wanted to get out and into a new location on our own accord. The new location will bring a new life to the business as we're moving to a very busy part of El Camino with lots of drive-by traffic. Moving after being in the same location for so long is terrifying, but we're excited for the new possibilities.

Although we've been planning this move for a few months, we're a bit short of our estimate for moving expenses, new fixtures, and construction at the new locations. We estimated an additional $25k is needed beyond the money we've already set aside for the move, however we were only given a line of credit with the bank for $17k, putting us about $8k short of our needed funds.

This page will be updated weekly with new estimates provided by contractors, as well as actual money spent so you know exactly where the money is going. Not a single dollar will go into the pocket of the owner or employees of Comics Conspiracy, every dollar will be spent on the move. If there's any money donated over the $8k, or we're able to come in under budget, all remaining funds will be spent on stock for the new location, especially all ages and independent comics. This money will go directly back into the comic book industry.
