Hello, friends! My name is Tyree Williams I'm coming to you all for support for one of our genuine and active leaders in the trans community, Dee Dee Watters.
Over the years, Dee Dee has made sure trans folks are never left alone or misgendered when violence hits our community. We have seen her host ceremonies that honors our ancestors, sending their spirits of slain transwomen to their spiritual home through affirmation and love. Dee Dee has traveled nationwide to fight and protect against the injustice political systems, including being a community advocate organizing justice and equity for our trans community.
We have seen how the current winter storms horribly swept through Texas, and as a result, Dee Dee is now approaching homelessness in Houston, Texas. Currently, she is safe and has temporary housing. We need your help as a community to raise funds to assist Dee Dee in finding a new home that will offer safety and stability.
