HELP! RELOCATION EMERGENCY

My name is Henri. Many of you know my significant other, Betsy. We were put in a very compromising position at the last location we were living in, where our safety became a concern that we had to leave ASAP, due to landlord harassment. We got harassed to the point where Betsy was home alone (while I was putting away things in storage for us to move) and the landlord just walked in our home through the connecting duplex doors without ANY notice--NOTHING! Obviously, this is not ok at all. Betsy contacted the police about the harassment and they agreed with her that this was not at all ok, even asking her if we had a safe place to stay.

Due to the urgency of leaving, we have been staying at an Airbnb since, using whatever money we had for a temporary booking until we are able to find a more permanent home. While I am in relatively good health, Betsy's health is not good. This is my main concern in finding a more stable, safe home first, so she can focus on her health and healing. You see, Betsy has a rare form of bone marrow cancer. In brief, "Myelofibrosis is an uncommon type of bone marrow cancer that disrupts your body's normal production of blood cells." - Mayo Clinic

We moved to Colorado because there are specialists here for Betsy's rare cancer.

Her energy levels are much lower than anyone that's healthy. All the stress of this situation is not good for anyone, especially even more for someone battling cancer. No one should have to worry about being displaced because of landlords not respecting tenants, and even more so a good person that has terminal cancer. I'm trying to get her in the best environment possible for her to fight this battle.

In full transparency, we need help with securing funds for a deposit, first & last month's rent, for a home with a more stable, safe environment, for her and us. We also need funds to buy furniture (since we have almost none---the last place we lived at was fully furnished). The donation funds will also be used to secure legal action against our previous landlord, due to the harassment, which is completely illegal.

Lastly, within the last two weeks, we have also been informed by a few friends of their last minute notification that they had to move due to some landlord changes. If we are able to, by raising these funds, we will also help them with relocating due to their immediate notice to leave.
