Help Rena and Mario rebuild their home
Donation protected
On the evening of September 1, 2021 to September 2nd, 2021 the remnants of Hurricane Ida broke the foundation of Rena and Mario's home (of 5 months) in Cranford, NJ. We were rescued by boat and narrowly escaped serious danger as the basement filled up (the picture shows the water mark and remnants left in the basement after the water receded) and later 4 feet of water entered the ground floor of their home. 2 days later their home was condemned. The cost to rebuild is tremendous and while they do have flood insurance they expect costs to be above that settlement. Rena and Mario are raising funds for the rebuild, renovation and elevation of their home so it is safe to live in.
Any monies left over after the renovation will be donated to a family of 4 in New Mexico. Rena met this family online and they lost their home the same evening. They do not have insurance and will not receive any government money as they were the only ones flooded in their area and it was not considered a disaster zone.
Thank you so much for your time and generosity.
