Help Renad’s family evacuate Gaza Palestine

Hi, my name is Sofia and I am helping Renad and her family raise money so they can evacuate Gaza Palestine.

“Hello everyone, I am Renad Abudiah from Gaza Strip, from the city of Khan Younis, a city that has turned into rubble and ashes, a city now filled with sorrowful memories. I am 22 years old, in my final year of university, and I was supposed to graduate this month. However, I could not complete my education as the occupation destroyed my dreams, goals, and plans. We are a family of 10, including two beautiful children who are my sister's kids. 

Since October 7th, we left our beautiful and warm home without taking anything with us, hoping to return. We didn't know that return would be impossible, that our home would turn into a pile of stones, and that it would remain just memories that make us cry whenever we remember it. 

We have become living corpses because our souls were taken with the destruction of our home. I have happy memories and unforgettable times I spent in the house that I considered my home. Every piece of furniture, every wall, and every corner had a special memory in my heart. Now, I cry endless tears for the loss and destruction of my home. My heart aches with indescribable pain, and I feel that a part of me was ripped away with the demolition of my home, which I considered my kingdom and refuge. 

Since October 7th, we have been living in a tent. We spent the entire winter in a tent that does not protect us from the bitter cold or the heavy rains that seep into it. Our children suffered illnesses due to the cold and lack of warm clothing, and now we are in summer, and this tent does not protect us from the extreme heat or the khamsin winds, nor from the insects that come out due to the high temperatures. How can this tent protect us from the shrapnel of rockets that fall near us? How can it protect us from the shells fired by the occupier in madness? And how can it protect us from the bullets fired by the occupier in a hysterical state? 

We have experienced every bad thing imaginable: bombing, extermination, destruction, fear, hunger, and diseases. We have been displaced four times. Our beautiful children have lived their childhood amidst wars, destruction, fear, and tears. My nephew, who is 4 years old, always tells me he is sad because his kindergarten was bombed and he cannot go to school and learn, which breaks my heart and his. I feel distressed because I cannot provide diapers, warm clothes, medicines, and vitamins for them. Everything is insanely expensive. 

After long consideration, I decided to leave Gaza with my family. Our home, schools, and universities have been destroyed, and there is no future for us in Gaza. I must preserve my family's lives and seek happiness for them away from this insane war and ongoing extermination. 

We are trapped in Gaza; we either die from the bombings, starve, or die from the harmful insects that have appeared due to the intense heat. I want to create a future for my sister's beautiful children, where they can live their childhood in peace and safety and go to school and learn like other children around the world. Also, for my parents, who are diabetic and need to receive their necessary treatment. 

I want to complete my last year of studies and graduate to get a job and achieve my dreams like everyone else my age. For my brothers and sisters who want to continue their schooling.  

We are 10 individuals, and each person needs to pay $5,000 USD to leave Gaza. 10 * $5,000 = $50,000 USD. 

Please, help us evacuate from Gaza and live in peace and safety. Every dollar makes a difference and changes our lives, and every share means a lot to me.
