Help Rena's Neighbor Rebuild Life and Heal Betty

Hi, this is my first GoFund Me because I know there are so very many good causes that you already contribute to. Nonetheless, this is close to my heart. I have a neighbor who is only in her thirties who has spent the last decade caretaking first her dying Mom and then her Stepfather who raised her. She put aside a career and pretty much every normal thing you would do in your twenties and thirties. Her Mom passed a few years ago, then her Aunt, who she also helped and recently her Stepfather. Now she is alone, grieving and has to start over, find a job and figure out who she is if not a caregiver. Her sole companion is the beautiful, sweet rescue dog she has. I love this dog, my dogs love this dog and most importantly, she loves this dog. Betty is a Rottweiler rescue and only about three years old. She’s a mush and a faithful companion but is currently on restricted movement and pain medication due to a torn ACL and meniscus. The surgery is $8,000 and then there will be rehab. She’s worth it, however that is a huge financial burden for her Mama. Because she is still grieving and frankly, depressed, this feels a bit like the straw that is breaking her back. I know I have a host of compassionate friends and dog-lovers in my life. If you would consider contributing, I would be grateful. No amount is too small. This will be a surprise for her and I’m just hoping we collectively can ease her burden just a bit. Thank you my wonderful people.
