Help Renee and Erica recover from the loss of their home from the Eaton Canyon Fire!

Hi, my name is Renee Faundo. I'm a story artist in animation who's worked on projects at Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, and South Park Studios.

My sister Erica is a live-action VFX Coordinator who's credits include Stranger Things, Dune: Prophecy, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

On the evening of Tuesday, January 7th at 6:30pm, a fire broke out 8 minutes away from our home at Eaton Canyon. By 8:30pm, we evacuated with our cats. Soon after, the first fire hit our neighborhood and by morning, our entire block had burned down.

Erica and I pulled together our resources with our family to move into this home in 2018. Over the last 6 years, we filled this space with so many fun gatherings with our relatives and entertainment community. We had a wonderful time living here - we thought we'd live in this house with our family for the rest of our lives.

We feel fortunate to have safely escaped, but in the haste of our evacuation, we had to make the difficult decision of leaving behind most of our possessions.

We lost all the photos/videos/sketchbooks from our teenage years & 20's. I had a hard drive compiled with all the personal artwork I've done personally and professionally since I was 15 years old. My desktop computer and cintiq, which I depend on for my freelance livelihood. Our clothing, scrapbooks, and decades of irreplaceable keepsakes.

During this time, full-time animation work has been heavily impacted, compounding our financial difficulties. This GoFundMe will help us recover our necessities and re-establish our lives in Los Angeles as we get back up our feet.
