Help Strengthen and Support Renee Simon TOGETHER!!

Dear Soccer Friends,

We come to you today with a heartfelt request for support and prayers for one of our own, Renee Simon. Wearing many hats in our organization, Renee is the Club Registrar for Nationals Soccer, the Area Club Manager for Nationals Macomb and Macomb Select, and the Administrator for our recreational program partners, Junior Nationals and USL Utica. She has always been there for all of us, tirelessly working to ensure the smooth running of our beloved club.

In 2022, Renee bravely faced and overcame the challenge of breast cancer. However, the fight is not over, as she now faces a new battle. In July 2024, Renee experienced severe ovary pain, and a CT scan revealed a 10 cm mass in her ovary area. Unfortunately, the news only worsened when a biopsy revealed that her original breast cancer has spread to her lungs, liver and lymph nodes resulting in a diagnosis of Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Despite the gravity of the situation, Renee and her family remain steadfast in their faith. The beautiful thing is that when they received the news, her entire family, including her parents, sister, and brother-in-law, were miraculously present, as if orchestrated by God himself. This moment of togetherness was a testament to the strength and love that surrounds Renee.

Now, Renee and her family are facing a series of upcoming treatments, appointments, scans, and medical opinions as they navigate the road ahead. They will be keeping us updated on her journey through the "Renee's Journey" Facebook group, which many of you have already joined.

We are asking our soccer community to come together and rally around Renee and her family during this challenging time. Let us show our support, offer our prayers, and surround them with the love and care they so deeply deserve.

Together, we can make a difference in Renee's life and provide the strength she needs to face this new battle. Please join us in this effort, and may God's blessings be upon Renee and her family.
