Help Renee with Rent and Medical Costs

Hello, friends and family. My name is Danica, and I’m Renee’s second daughter. In mid-June, Renee was rushed to the hospital after suffering a stroke while helping my youngest brother move. On June 17th, she underwent a triple bypass surgery. Before this, she had stents placed in her arteries and was unable to engage in physical activity for long periods. In February, she’s scheduled for another surgery on her left carotid artery.

I’m incredibly proud of the lifestyle changes my mom has made over the past year and her determination to take care of herself. We want her to be with us for many more years!

As her children, we are doing everything we can while also taking care of ourselves. However, the process of securing government benefits for her is lengthy. If you know my mom, you know she has the kindest soul, and I know it’s hard for her to rely on us so much.
