Help repatriate Anita's body to Uganda
Donation protected
Our hearts are heavy with the sudden passing of Anita Mukundane on the morning of Wednesday, 5 February 2025, after choking on a glass of water. The Western Australia police are still investigating the cause of death.
Anita was a loving mother to two young children, aged 10 and 7, who live with their grandparents in Uganda and wife to Ivan, who currently lives in Queensland. She came to Australia two years ago, dreaming of a better future for her two beautiful children. Anita and her husband worked tirelessly, sending every penny back home to support their children's care and education.
This is a tough time for Anita’s family. Beyond the emotional devastation, they are now faced with the significant financial burden of repatriating her body back to Uganda. The costs associated with transporting her body are substantial, and her family, who relied on the support she sent, are unable to meet these costs alone.
Anita’s greatest wish was to be reunited with her children. While she worked towards this dream, fate intervened, leaving her children and family heartbroken.
We have created this GoFundMe campaign to appeal to your generosity and compassion. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a profound difference in helping us take Anita home to her children and give her the dignified farewell she deserves. All funds raised will be used exclusively for the costs associated with repatriation.
