Dear Friends and Family,
It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of
our beloved Betty Aol Banoba of Dorchester, Massachusetts, on December 11, 2024, at the
Boston Medical Cancer Center. Betty was the cherished daughter of Agayo Stanley and
Lucy Acayo, hailing from Gulu Amuru District, Amilobo Village, Uganda.
While we grieve her untimely loss, we also celebrate her life—a life filled with kindness,
love, and generosity. Betty’s loving spirit impacted many, and she will be greatly missed by
her seven adopted children:

● Lucy Mitchelle
● Chichi Madonga
● Isaac Karuhanga
She also leaves behind one grandchild, Rubanga Akena.
As we mourn Betty’s loss, friends are working diligently to bring her remains back to
Uganda for a dignified sendoff to her home country. The cost of repatriating Betty’s body,
along with the associated funeral expenses, is estimated at $12,000. We are reaching out to the community for support in raising these funds.
