Help Repatriate Alias John for Final Rites

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Mr. Alias John (67), the father of Mr. Basil, a valued member of Waterford Malayalee community. Mr. Alias John had come to Ireland to visit his family and spend time with his beloved grandchildren. Unfortunately, he was hospitalised for the past 50 days and placed on life support. Due to multiple health complications, continuing life support or further medical interventions was no longer possible. He was transitioned to palliative care, where he peacefully passed away on 31st December 2024.

The family wishes to bring his body back to Kerala, India, for cremation and final rites alongside their extended family. However, this process involves substantial financial expenses as well as extensive paperwork. While the paperwork is already underway, the family is seeking our support to meet the significant financial burden involved.

As a community, it is our responsibility to support them in this challenging time. To assist, we are setting up a GoFundMe campaign, and all contributions will go directly to Mr. Basil’s bank account.
