Help replace Andrew's stolen accordion
Donation protected
I've set this fundraiser up to support a dear friend.
Alongside his day job as the director and founder of a community enterprise working with people with learning disabilities, Andrew Akehurst is also an accordionist for Thy Last Drop , a much-beloved West Suffolk band.
On Saturday (9/3/2024), Andrew's home in Bury St Eds was burgled. The thieves took his car keys, car and wallet, and the tool of his musical trade—an FR-8X V-Accordion. The timing could not have been worse. Andrew was supposed to begin recording the band's latest album the next day. This model of accordion costs around 6k to buy new, so its theft is a devastating blow; Andrew's insurance company refused to cover the theft because the instrument was stolen from his car, which was loaded and ready for the next day's work.
I want to raise some funds to help Andrew replace his stolen accordion. Every penny helps. If you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser; we must make the accordion too hot to handle, and every bit of publicity helps.
All monies raised will go straight to Andrew, bypassing me.
Thank you, Nicola Miller
