Help rescue hoarded and abused cats & dogs, Crete

⭕️On 22 of January we were alerted to one of the most horrible animal hoarder-abuse cases ever recorded in Greece. It is not only number of the animals that the hoarder has collected but also the horrendous situation that the animals live in, the absolutely lunatic situation

they kept the animals for years.

⭕️10 dogs chained, malnourished and with absolutely no veterinary care or in small cages and 77 cats (probably more) kept in dark, narrow, wooden boxes, unable to move and see the light.

⭕️We have managed to get out of there 9 dogs and 43 cats and found wonderful foster and adoption homes for them. We provided to all of these animals proper veterinary care (deworming-defleeing, spot checks for infectious diseases, blood tests and antibiotics for the sick ones, vaccinations etc), many were hospitalized for the conditions they had, we provided neutering for all the animals and high quality of food and foster care in a professional pet hotel until we find appropriate solution for every single one.

⭕️All these cost a substantial amount of money, about 5.000 euros so far.

❤️This unbelievable achievement of saving 52 animals in only just one month, was the outcome of many hands holding together so tight, like the rings of a chain, so strong like the love that all of YOU wonderful people gave us for these abused animals.

❤️YOU give us the strength and the will to continue, until no animal is left in the hoarder’s hell boxes.
