My name is Hala Alshawwa, and I am 18 years old. Last year, I embarked on my journey to pursue a degree in Medicine at Al-Azhar University in Gaza. However, the unfortunate reality is that the ongoing conflict in Gaza has disrupted not only the lives of countless individuals but also the educational infrastructure of our region.

As many of you are aware, the recent conflicts have resulted in the destruction of educational institutions, including universities. Tragically, this means that the opportunity for furthering one's education has become virtually non-existent for students like me in Gaza.

In the face of such adversity, I am reaching out to you for support. I refuse to let the devastation around me extinguish my dreams of becoming a doctor. Despite the challenges, I am determined to continue my studies and fulfill my aspirations of serving my community as a healthcare professional.
