Help rescue refugees from Haiti
Donation protected
I am starting a GoFundMe for my aunt & uncle. Here is their story below:
“My name is Luckner Huggins. I am from Haiti, and some of my family currently live there. They are stuck in the middle of gang wars and corruption. Right now, they are being forced to flee their home before the gangs come to take over their neighborhood. This has occurred on multiple occasions. One of my 16-year-old cousins has already been killed amidst the conflict. Many people in Haiti are homeless and are moving from place to place, trying to survive and avoid the violence.
My wife and I have paid to get passports and plane tickets for eight of them to come to our home in the US to be safe. This has been a big financial burden on our modest income. After eleven months, they were finally approved to come. We have arranged English classes for them when they arrive to help them get jobs. Among the eight are two young girls whom we are adopting. These beautiful little girls have been firsthand witnesses of the violence as they pass dead bodies in the streets each day.
We need further assistance in preparing a home for these people and the two girls when they arrive in a few short weeks. They will live in our unfinished basement, and we must supply them with beds, clothing, food, and other household items. If possible, we ask for any donation to help us give these individuals their basic needs.”
