Help rescued cats stay warm this winter (2022)
Donation protected
The photo above is of Susan Mix gently holding Gracie.
Gracie is one of the approximately 1,800 cats Susan has had spayed or neutered over the past 25 years (62 cats just this year).
Some were ferals who were returned to where they were captured. Some, such as Gracie, stayed with Susan until she found them homes. Some were returned to their low-income guardians who could not afford to have the spaying or neutering done themselves.
Susan pays all expenses herself, except for the spaying and neutering, which a non-profit organization provides. She pays for food, litter, medical expenses, gas for driving to distant locations, and heat and electricity for her barn.
This fundraiser is to help pay for heat and electricity for her barn this winter. Inflation has caused the bill to skyrocket.
She is in central New York, where the winters are harsh. The cats must be kept warm during their recovery from the spay or neuter surgeries, and the cats for whom she is looking for homes need to be in a warm place until they are adopted.
Donations of any size are welcome — every little bit helps!
Please help the cats in Susan’s loving hands stay warm this winter. Thank you.
