Help Restore Chris' Beachside Bar Community Gathering Place
Donation protected
Chris Monroe, a St. Pete Beach resident and business owner, has been a friend to so many people over the years. Chris' Beachside Bar has been more than a "bar" - it's been a place for the volleyball community to come together to play, connect, and be with their "beach family," where spectators, friends, and tourists are welcomed and embraced by the amazing community that Chris has created at this establishment. What was a place of refuge and relaxation for many was Chris' business and only source of income. "Was" being the word used: Chris' Beachside Bar was destroyed by Hurricane Helene.
There are SO MANY people that have been impacted by the catastrophic storm. Chris not only lost his business that served as the gathering place for volleyball players, friends, family, and tourists, but also lost his home, motorcycles, and car. The impassable roads and devastation along the beach have made it so he can't take stock of what's salvageable and start putting his life back together.
Our goal is give Chris funds to start the clean up and survive as he rebuilds. Please give what you can, as every dollar helps. (And please don't hesitate to lend some time and muscle to the clean up efforts, too!)
I'm Jenn Reilly. My husband Tom Reilly has played volleyball at Chris' for years, and Chris has been a wonderful friend to both of us. (Our first date was meeting up at Chris' Beachside Bar!) We started this GoFundMe after Tom spoke with a number of the regular volleyball players and friends of Chris that asked how they could donate and help.
