Help restore Collingwood Black & Craft'd Grounds

This is Heather on behalf of James & Kirstie! I work at Collingwood Black and Craft’d Grounds.

 

Us, along with other businesses down Collingwood Street, have been hit hard by the floods this week. After already suffering significant delays with our opening last year on the back end of COVID, to now also be hit by floods has a substantial impact on all of us.  This affects or entire business including Collingwood Black, The Black Market, Fightcross Gym, Herves Restaurant, Seven Miles Coffee Roasters, KISS Burgers and Brewtide.

 

We designed our beautiful precinct to withstand levels above the 2011 floods, but, here we are! Completely inundated.  With the water came mud, amongst other things. We are devastated and so many have lost so much. Whilst there is building insurance for such events, that never extends to equipment, stock and packaging & insurance can take so long. All we can do is put our gumboots on and get cleaning and we have extended the call to our community for volunteers to help with the cleanup. But not everyone can get down here and help and we totally understand, but we also know that so many of you want to help us out.
