Help Restore Denver's Beloved BarBar

On Monday morning, June 24th, at approximately 8am, our beloved BarBar had to be rescued by Denver Fire Department. A victim of suspected arson and the subject of an ongoing investigation the local dive bar suffered massive structural damage and was forced to be boarded up until further notice.

Carioca Cafe, better known by locals in Denver and beyond simply as "BarBar" has been a staple in the community for decades as a trusty watering hole, a punk rock venue and a catch-all for Denverites and tourists alike. Its presence will be missed as repairs are on hold due to the massive restorations needed.

In the meantime bar's employees are without reliable work and shows have been canceled until the building is able to be safely reopened. Whether you've only heard of this storied dive, been in a handful of times or can count yourself a faithful regular, BarBar could use your help getting back on its graffitied feet.
