Hi, many of us, including myself, were blessed to grow up with Gerry Blanck. My name is Janet Nilsson & I grew up with Gerry in Pensacola, Florida. The funds will go directly to Gerry Blanck & his daughter Danika for his new dojo, housing, & food.

For over 40 years, Gerry Blanck’s Martial Arts Center has been a cornerstone of the Pacific Palisades community, teaching Yoshukai karate, kickboxing, and self-defense to generations of students. This dojo was more than a martial arts studio—it was a haven for building confidence, discipline, and camaraderie. Gerry’s dedication to his students earned him a beloved place in the hearts of families, including high-profile supporters like Tom Hanks’ kids and Yancy Spencer's daughter, Abigail Spencer.

Tragically, the devastating fire that swept through the area destroyed the dojo, leaving Gerry and his students without a home. This dojo was not just a place of learning but a symbol of resilience and strength for the Palisades community.

We are reaching out to friends, former students, and supporters to help Gerry rebuild his dojo and continue his legacy of empowering students of all ages. The funds will go toward securing a new location, replacing equipment, and restarting classes for the community that depends on him.
