Help Us Rebuild Our Beloved Temple in the Bronx

Dear Friends,

For over 70 years, our temple has been a beacon in the Bronx community—a place of worship, hope, and service. Its where countless lives have been touched through faith, compassion, and practical support. However, in November 2022, an electrical fire severely damaged our beloved building, leaving us unable to return to the place we’ve called home for generations.

Since that tragic day, we have worshiped in temporary locations while waiting for insurance funds to cover the cost of repairs. Sadly, after two long years, we still haven’t received all the funds due to us, and new requirements from the Department of Buildings have added significant costs to the restoration process.

To overcome these challenges and reopen our doors, we are launching a three-phase fundraising campaign. Our total goal is $500,000, but we are breaking it into manageable milestones to ensure progress at every step.

The Three Phases of Rebuilding

1. Phase 1: Electrical and Plumbing Repairs – $150,000

The fire caused extensive damage to these critical systems, which must be restored before any additional work can be completed. This phase ensures the building is functional and safe to proceed with further repairs.

2. Phase 2: Fire Safety System Installation – $200,000

Once the plumbing is operational, we will install a new sprinkler system to meet updated safety requirements and secure approval from the NYC Department of Buildings.

3. Phase 3: Final Renovations and Community Program Launch – $150,000

The final phase will complete remaining renovations and prepare the building for full operation. This includes

reopening our vital community services:

- Food pantry to feed hundreds of families.

- Clothing donation center to assist those in need.

- Job training programs to equip individuals for success.

- Homeschool program to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment.
